History

Akoore Secondary School was founded on 17th September 2024 due to a pressing need for another secondary school in the ketu community that was within reasonable walking distance. Previously, pupils had to walk 10 miles daily to the nearest secondary school. This was a painful experience that needed a permanent resolution. Established by a small team of dedicated educators and stakeholders who shared a common vision, the school was built to provide quality, affordable education while fostering academic excellence and personal growth in a supportive environment.
Our journey has been guided by a commitment to adapt to the evolving needs of students and society. From our humble beginnings to the thriving institution we are today, Akoore Secondary School remains dedicated to its founding mission: to empower students with the knowledge, skills, and values needed to succeed in a changing world.
